After a victorious weekend in Buffalo, Jenna McCabe earns this weeks Eagle of the Week honors. This will be Jenna’s second time, as Eagle of the Week. Jenna had a very successful weekend in Buffalo recording 14 points with 75% shooting over the course of the weekend. But it is not all about the goals and assists. The coaching staff has continued to be impressed with Jenna’s strong leadership off the field. Seeing her help out and take care of the underclassmen, particularly the freshman, throughout the weekend was another indicator as to why she deserves this week’s honor. These small things certainly do not go unnoticed by her teammates and by the coaching staff. Congratulations to Jenna and the maroon team!

Week 4: Eagle of the Week - Jill Rekart
This weeks Eagle of the Week goes to sophomore Jill Rekart, who receives this honor for the second time! With only one more week of pre-season, Rekart has continued to push herself in on the field and in the weight room. Her presence on the offensive end and willingness to take chances on the defensive end has certainly impressed the coaching staff! There is no doubt that Rek will be a major threat this upcoming weekend in Buffalo after pushing herself for five hard weeks of pre-season. Congratulations, once again, to Rekart and her gold team.

Week 2: Eagle of the Week - Kate Collins
After surviving the second week of preseason, Freshman Kate Collins receives Eagle of the Week honors. Battling an ankle injury this past fall, Kate has come back strong and focused impressing not only the coaches, but her fellow teammates. Kate’s coachability, willingness to learn, positive attitude and strong work ethic have not gone unnoticed. Moreover, she continues to push herself in the weight room and in conditioning.
We are looking forward to seeing Kate’s continued progress throughout preseason and into our 2009 season! Congratulations, once again, to Kate and her Maroon team.
