Week 7: Eagle of the Week - Jill Rekart

This weeks Eagle of the week goes to Junior, Jill Rekart. Reks has done an outstanding job, taking a huge leadership role on the defensive end. Moreover, she has become a major presence in the midfield transition. She currently leads the team in caused turnovers and is third in ground balls. This past weekend, Jill played a crucial role in the win against Virginia Tech, helping hold a strong Tech offensive to only 9 goals! Congratulations to Jill and her GOLD team.

Week 6: Eagle of the Week - Lauren Costello

This weeks Eagle of the Week goes to Senior Lauren Costello. Cos has shown tremendous leadership on the offensive end. She has had an outstanding season thus far, particularly this past week where she showed her offensive skills scoring 4 goals and adding 6 assists against Jacksonville. She continued on with another great offensive performance by scoring 3 goals and adding 4 assists. Cos currently leads the team in points. Congratulations to Lauren and her Gold Team!

Week 5: Eagle of the Week - Brooke Blue

"This weeks Eagle of the Week goes to Freshman, Brooke Blue. Brooke came out on fire in her first collegiate game against Bryant, scoring 5 goals and adding 1 assist. She had an almost identical game against Canisus scoring another 5 goals and adding another assist. Her determination, hard work and drive to get better each day has certainly paid off! Moreover, Brooke currently leads the team in scoring and there is no doubt that she will be continuing to put the ball in the net throughout the season. Congratulations to Brooke and her Maroon Team!"

Week 4: Eagle of the Week - Jill Rekart

Congratulations to Junior, Jill Rekart for earning this weeks Eagle of the week honors. Reks had an outstanding game against Bryant this past weekend. She was huge presences on the defensive end, collecting 5 ground balls, causing 5 turnovers and gaining 2 draw control possession. Furthermore, the defense was able to hold Bryant to less than 5 goals, in large part due to Rekart’s defensive leadership. In addition, she showed her offensive skills by scoring 2 goals and adding 1 assist. Rekart has shown tremendous work ethic and leadership throughout this week and throughout preseason. Her hard work in practice has translated to her play on the field. There is no doubt that Rekart will be a true threat on both ends of the ball this coming season! Congratulations to Jill and her Gold Team!

Week 3: Eagle of the Week - Sophia Gouraige

This week's Eagle of the Week goes to Freshman, Sophia Gouriage. Sophia has done a tremendous job over the course of pre-season. Not only did she come back in shape, but she has been working extremely hard on the defensive end, which in turn, has pushed her teammates to improve and work harder on the offensive end. She has continued to make progress every day and has become a real assest to the defensive unit. Her willingness to learn, be coachable, apply and improve is a sign that good things are to come! Her competitive spirit and work ethic are something that she has brought day in and day out. Congratulations to Sophia and her GOLD team!

Week 2: Eagle of the Week - Mary Stinson

This weeks Eagle of the Week goes to senior, Mary Stinson. Mary has consistently worked hard in practice and been a true vocal leader. Her energy, presences and work ethic is something that not only the coaches have noticed, but that her teammates have commented on, as well. Her energy and upbeat attitude in practices has translated to her determined mentality on the field. Mary has come back in peak shape and has continued to make great improvements on the offensive end. Congratulations to Mary and her Maroon Team!!

Week 1: Eagle of the Week - Kate Collins

After the first week of preseason, the first Eagle of the week for the 2010 season goes to sophomore, Kate Collins. Kate worked extremely hard over break, passing all of her run tests with flying colors. Moreover, she has been a true presences and leader on the defensive end. Her feisty and scrappiness have been consistent this past week. Furthermore, Kate is starting to become a real offensive threat. Her focus, determination and work ethic ALL over the field is something that has not gone unnoticed and will certainly help take the Eagles to heights this coming season.
